​Pond Mountain Inn has become an inspiring New England destination hosting over fifteen-hundred guests since we opened in 2013. Worldwide travelers for the past thirty years, we have accumulated over five-thousand-night stays in hotels spread across five continents. This experience has informed our understanding of both Eastern and Western hospitality—and a dedication to maintaining the highest international standards for hospitality and culinary excellence.

Happily married for twenty-five years, we met on a flight from Manila to Narita, Japan in August 1996. Kay was a Bangkok-based flight attendant for Northwest Airlines, and I worked as an expatriate living in the Philippines. Three months later, we had our first date at Shangri-La Hotel’s Cheval Blanc Restaurant in Manila. Two years later, we married in Bangkok, Thailand in 1998 at Kay's family residence, and again in New Jersey, United States in 2000.
